About
Noiz is a Linux-native managed hosting and security company based in Ireland — infrastructure that doesn't make noise.
Noiz is a Linux-native managed hosting, infrastructure and security company based in Ireland, trading since 17 September 2024. It runs the systems businesses depend on — hosting, servers, networks, monitoring and security operations — so the client never has to think about them.
The approach is consistent across everything: privacy-respecting, open-source, hardened by default. The client keeps ownership and portability of their stack, with no lock-in. Noiz carries the day-to-day load — provisioning, patching, monitoring and response — under flat, SLA-backed management. Physical hardware lives in a Dublin data centre, with cloud capacity in EU facilities in Germany.
The name
Noiz stands for Network of Independent Zones — the federation idea from the Libre and FOSS world. Independent zones connect and cooperate without a central authority: each keeps its autonomy while taking part in a wider network. The name doubles as noise — the transmission that disrupts the signal of centralised control.
There is a quieter reading too: good infrastructure is invisible. It does not page anyone at 3am, does not surface in an incident report, does not become the reason a launch slips. When systems are loud, something has already gone wrong. So Noiz works to keep them quiet — operationally (hardened, patched, monitored), commercially (flat management, clear scope, no surprise invoices), and in the news (out of breach reports and outage trackers).
The mark is written [noiz] — lowercase, bracket-mono, the way a terminal frames a prompt. Short, technical, and unmistakably restrained.
Drawbacks — Loud infrastructure
- Pages someone at 3am — the first sign is the outage.
- Surfaces in incident reports — and breach trackers.
- Surprise invoices — the worst day also costs extra.
- Vendor noise — the next layer nobody asked for.
Strengths — Quiet infrastructure
- Invisible when it works — no pages, no drama.
- Out of the headlines — hardened, patched, monitored.
- Flat management — clear scope, no surprise billing.
- Signal over noise — only the things that are true and matter.
The signal
Most of running infrastructure is noise: alerts that mean nothing, dashboards nobody reads, vendors selling the next layer the client did not ask for. The signal is the small set of things that are true and that matter — is it up, is it patched, is it backed up, is it secure, can it be restored.
Noiz keeps the signal and discards the rest:
- Patch quietly, before it becomes an incident.
- Monitor for the few things worth waking up for.
- Test the restore, not just the backup.
- Harden by default, not after the breach.
No hype, no lock-in — open-source, Linux-native tooling the client can own, read, and take elsewhere, and plain language about what is running and why.
What Noiz does
The catalogue divides into five pillars:
- Infrastructure — hosting, cloud and VPS, domains, email and networking, provisioned and maintained.
- Security — backup and disaster recovery, threat mitigation, and email security, hardened by default.
- Support — managed IT, monitoring, Linux administration and training, SLA-backed.
- Hardware — Linux computers and laptops, supplied ready to work.
- Services — custom development, integration and professional work on open foundations.
Pricing lives within each service section. To start a conversation, get in touch.
No lock-in, plainly
Everything Noiz runs is open-source and Linux-native — the client can read it, own it, and take it elsewhere. The relationship is held by service, not by a contract that makes leaving painful. That is the whole point.Talk to Noiz.
Hand the infrastructure over, or just ask a question — Noiz takes it from there.
